Cuban Motion Workshop: Saturday, April 23, 2-3:30pm

If you love rhythm dancing (Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo, Salsa, Swing, & Merengue), and who doesn't (!), and you want to work on your American Style Latin, I have the class for you!
On Saturday, April 23, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, I am hosting a Workshop to teach the fundamentals of Cuban Motion.
For those of you who have already started working on your Cuban Motion, we will also work on advanced techniques.  All dance levels will benefit! We always have a great time in a Cuban Motion WS, learn a lot, AND get a great workout, so don't forget to dress casually.
All workshops are $25 per person, and include a light lunch afterward. Be sure and reserve your place by calling the studio (at 798-4552), phoning in a credit card, or signing up at the desk, in person, to let us know you will be attending. Workshop Class size is always limited, and reservations are on a first-come basis.

Does this sound like you?
"I felt like my body had gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor'e permission to join a fitness club and start exercising. I decided to take an aerobics class. I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for a half an hour, but by the time I got my leotards on, the class was over!"
Arthur Murray has a better way!
Learn all your Latin dance moves in Core Rhythms classes and lose those unwanted inches!
Join us Mondays at 7:30pm, and Saturdays at 12:00pm for Core Rhythms Fitness Classes at the studio! Core Rhythms is a Latin-dance-based, high cardio workout based on all your favorite Latin dances:

DB DAY! My Dance Blog goes LIVE! Introducing The Waltz Street Journal

The Waltz Street Journal was born in 1984 or so, when, as a new Arthur Murray Franchisee in Las Vegas, NV, I designed our monthly Calendar of Events and Newsletter on a plain sheet of legal paper, with fine tip markers, plastic alphabet templates, hand-drawn pictures, and lots of white-out (it was then in a bottle with a brush to lather over your mistakes with - you could brush out highway signs with that baby)!
That incarnation of the newsletter lasted quite a few years until I "retired" from the studio to raise my daughter. When I "unretired" I brought the WSJ back with me, and this time, with the benefit of new desktop publishing technology, I was able to create a gorgeous in-studio Newsletter, in glorious color, with photos, different fonts, pictures, links to websites, places to go dance and all sorts of fun stuff.
It's now time to take the Waltz Street Journal to a different place, and here is the result! I don't know anything about blogs, but I do know ballroom dancing, and music. And so, hang in there with me as I slowly but surely learn my way around this blogosphere! I promise to introduce you to some new music and/or dances, teach you something about social dancing, tell you all about fabulous places you can go dancing, do a little reminiscing, tell a few stories, make you laugh, and maybe even make you cry. I'll include some links to some of my favorite dance videos whether they are about the music, the dancing, or both! We'll also go around the country to check out some must-go-dancing spots for your bucket list. We'll have fun, I promise!
